Machine Building & Installation Machine building generally starts in our fabrication shop. This shop is equipped to handle many materials in a wide range of sizes. The bulk of our weldments are low carbon steel, however there is a substantial amount of 300 series stainless steel also used. CNC gas and plasma cutting for light and heavy metal plate is available. A unique 15' X 33' laser leveled structural steel matrix, anchored to a subterranean foundation, is located in the shop at floor level to handle large fabrications which can be torqued down and secured in position using a network of threaded holes. Most welded fabrications require additional machining. Our extensive facilities provide the necessary machining to complete the parts as designed. We have the capability to handle very small hand held parts up to individual pieces in excess of 20 tons. Our largest and most sophisticated milling center is a new Toshiba BTD-13F R22 CNC horizontal with working cube of 118" X 90" X 63" and table capacity of 22 tons. Our gauge control system is in accordance with ISO 10012-1. Completed parts are staged by job in a new assembly area opened in 1998. This area is covered by our heaviest lift bridge cranes of 100 tons capacity. Six (6) individual assembly bays within this area are covered by multiple bridge cranes of 3 tons capacity. Each bay is completely outfitted with it's own mechanics tools, benches, and various test equipment. After basic assembly we provide integration of essential service systems such as lubrication, hydraulic, electric, and complete computer control systems with operational software. Brodeur Machine offers installation services for new or repaired machine parts, complete machines, or production lines. This service includes transportation, rigging, technical direction regarding foundation work, technical supervision, part or machine placement, laser alignment, grouting, startup and operator training.
